UC Santa Barbara's Resource Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity and student organization SexInfo hosted a virtual Kink 101 workshop to educate attendees about safe sex practices within the kink community. Led by fourth-year sociology major Owen Renert, the workshop covered key terms and concepts within the kink community, including consent negotiation, safe words, and the importance of creating limits lists. Renert emphasized the need for safety, consent, and proper vetting when engaging in kink-based activities or attending events within the community.
