UC Santa Barbara's Resource Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity, Middle Eastern, North African, South Asian Resource Center, and MultiCultural Center came together to host the first Queer and Trans Asian, Pacific Islander, South and Southwest Asian, North African Cultural Potluck. This event, held during Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, aimed to create a safe space for queer and trans people of color while celebrating their diverse heritages within a relaxed and welcoming setting. The potluck featured a variety of cultural dishes and provided an opportunity for cultural exchange, community-building, and the celebration of diverse identities. The event emphasized the importance of creating inclusive spaces on campus for queer and trans people of color and fostering connections across communities.
