The University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) has implemented a pronoun functionality in its systems, allowing students to indicate their pronouns through the Gaucho On-Line Data (G.O.L.D.) system. This change aims to reduce misgendering for transgender and nonbinary students in classroom settings by making pronouns visible to instructors. While this implementation is currently available for students, UCSB plans to expand it to staff and faculty members, with further discussions about the accessibility of this information in the Campus Directory.
