UC Santa Barbara's transgender and queer communities organized a "Trans Joy Take Over" to protest the Trump administration's proposed changes to the definition of gender. The event aimed to increase visibility within the transgender community and promote solidarity. UCSB students, led by UCSB Associated Students Senator Zion Solomon, conducted card- and poster-making activities, and tabled in the Arbor, to raise awareness and support for the transgender community in the face of potential policy changes.
