Clark G. Kuebler was the third provost of the Santa Barbara College of the University of California (which later became UCSB).  He resigned after being arrested by a NYC undercover vice squad police officer and the national scandal that resulted --  a sad, but important episode in UCSB's LGBTQIA+ history.
