The RCSGD's Student Engagement Initiatives foster growth as scholars, leaders, and community members.

These initiatives include our Volunteer Program which works directly with our team, our Student Organization support which partners with students creating change outside the institution but alongside the RCSGD, and our Conference Delegations that send UCSB students to leadership opportunities across the UC campus network which explore conversations about LGBTQIA+ experiences.

RCSGD Volunteer Program

The RCSGD's Volunteer Program provides an opportunity for Undergraduate and Graduate students to support the mission and goals of the RCSGD while building a bridge between students, staff, and faculty of similar experiences and goals to form meaningful connections.

Student Organizations

Are you thinking of starting a student group or are you in an established student organization supporting LGBTQIA+ initiatives and need support? The RCSGD is happy to help!

You are welcome to schedule time with us to learn about previous and current organizations, resources available to organizations across campus, and how the RCSGD can help. We love collaborating with our student groups as well, our work comes from different sides of student life but heads towards the same goal of creating more welcoming spaces for our community members.

Delegations

The RCSGD in partnership with Associated Students Trans & Queer Commission provides opportunities for UCSB students to attend a variety of conferences in California, and potentially nationally, that incorporate LGBTQIA+ experiences and research every academic year.
